FREEDOM
The Statue of Liberty is an iconic symbol of freedom and democracy, located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It was a gift from France to the United States in 1886, designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and with its internal structure engineered by Gustave Eiffel. Officially named "Liberty Enlightening the World," the statue stands 305 feet tall (including its pedestal) and depicts a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty. She holds a torch above her head in her right hand and a tablet in her left hand inscribed with the date of the American Declaration of Independence
